NEW BOOK PUBLISHER RELEASES FIRST BOOK

Tallahassee, fl March 16, 2009:  Suzanne Allain, Managing Editor at LeMoyne House, knows how rough the publishing industry can be.  Her first book, INCOGNITO, was released in 2001 by an imprint of Warner Books.  “I was so excited when my first book was accepted for publication,” Allain recalls.  “Then, just before it was released, the events of September 11th rocked the publishing world.  One month after my book was released AOL Time Warner decided to shut their new imprint down.  My contract for my second book was null and void, and I discovered I’d quit my day job a little too soon.”

AOL Time Warner continued to sell Suzanne Allain’s book, but after years of being on the opposite end of the industry Allain decided she’d like to sit on the other side of the desk.  “Book editors at the major publishing houses are a little jaded and overworked, and one of the hardest things is to get their attention.  Also, authors receive only a very small percentage of their book sales.  I wanted to control every aspect of the publication of my book.”

Suzanne Allain’s second book, MR. MALCOLM’S LIST, was released this month by her new publishing company, LeMoyne House.  “MR. MALCOLM’S LIST is in the same genre as my first novel, INCOGNITO.  It’s a historical romantic comedy that will probably appeal to fans of Jane Austen or Oscar Wilde,” Allain says. She plans on releasing books in other genres of fiction and non-fiction in the coming months and accepting submissions from other authors.
